Choosing a Practical Double Stroller for Two
Hi there,
As a mom of two, finding the right stroller has been quite a journey. I loved using Nuna Mixx for my first baby for 17 months, and it never let me down. But now, with my second baby’s arrival, I was on the hunt for a double stroller that met a few key criteria:
- Compatible with Nuna Pipa – I wanted a stroller that could easily adapt to my Nuna Pipa car seat.
- Unobstructed Views – Both kids should be able to see their surroundings comfortably.
- Easy to Fold & Unfold – Convenience was a must for everyday use.
- Budget-Friendly – Since I knew I might need a different stroller later, or possibly none at all, I didn’t want to spend too much.
After researching my options (and I will share more about in a future post), I decided on the Yoyo3 with the ride-along board. I’m not entirely sure what the difference is between the Yoyo2 and Yoyo3, but the adapter and board are compatible with both versions. The price ended up being nearly the same for me since I used the Amazon baby registry discount for the Yoyo3, so why not opt for the newer version if the price is the same? Overall, I’m satisfied with my choice.

💡 What I Like About It:
✅ Great for Two Kids – My 17-month-old enjoys the ride-along board, which has been a real relief. She’s at the stage where she dislikes sitting in the stroller, so standing on the board allows her to feel independent while still staying close. Now, whenever I take out the stroller, she’s excited to jump onto the board. She also gets so amused when we pass over rough patches, laughing and enjoying the ride. Additionally, she loves playing peekaboo with her baby sister while we’re out, which is absolutely adorable!
✅ Compact & Easy to Fold – It took me a few tries to get used to folding and unfolding, but once I got the hang of it, it became quick and effortless. It also stands on its own when folded, which is really convenient.
✅ Smooth Ride for Its Size – I was a bit concerned about the small wheels, but they handle sidewalks, parks, and even grass better than I expected. It’s not as cushioned as a full-size stroller, but for a lightweight travel option, it does the job well.
✅ Works with Nuna Pipa Car Seat – The adapter makes it easy to attach and remove the car seat, and it feels stable when in place.

A Few Trade-Offs
While I’m happy with the stroller, there are a few things to consider:
🔹 Handle Positioning – Since the board is in front and the handle isn’t adjustable, I sometimes find myself standing slightly to the side while pushing.
🔹 Curb Navigation – Getting up sidewalk steps takes a little extra effort when the board is attached.
🔹 Limited Storage – Like most travel strollers, the basket is pretty small. Coming from a Nuna Mixx, I definitely notice the difference.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a compact, easy-to-use stroller that works for both a newborn and a toddler, the Yoyo3 + board is a solid choice. It’s not perfect, but it’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and toddler-friendly, making outings with two kids much more manageable.
